Ringo Starr CBS2Ringo Starr, former drummer for the Beatles, spoke exclusively to CBS 2 reporter David Wohl before a local concert played by his band “Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band”.

Starr, who is fronting the 9th version of his band, played at the Fantasy Springs Casino and Resort on June 25 before a packed house of Beatle fanatics. Joining him on stage were Sheila E., drummer for Prince, Billy Squier, Edgar Winter and Richard Marx. Winter, Marx, and Sheila E. also gave extended interviews to Wohl about their musical pasts as well as their current roles in the All-Starr band.

The Beatles first arrived in the United States in February of 1964. They broke up in April of 1970. Starr along with vocalist Paul McCartney are the two surviving members, after the death of John Lennon in 1980 and George Harrison in 2001.
