Los premios Mercury han elegido como finalista del galardón al álbum de Paul McCartney con The Boys of Dungeon Lane, algo que no ha sucedido con el Foering Tongues de Los Rolling Stones.
Resta por ver si McCartney se impondrá finalmente a los otros once nominados, que incluyen a Olivia Dean, con The Art of Loving; Knats, con A Great Day in Newcastle; Kojey Radical, con Don’t Look Down; Suede, con Antidepressants; Dave, con The Boy Who Played the Harp; War Child, con Help(2); Florence + the Machine, con Everybody Scream; Dove Ellis, con Blizzard; Raye, con This Music May Contain Hope; Nia Archives, con Emotional Junglist; y Jade, con That’s Showbiz Baby!.
El premio al mejor álbum del año se entregará el jueves 22 de octubre en el Utilita Arena de Newcastle
